Yesterday I got a new cell phone.
I have always been one of those people who considered a cell phone to be a basic necessity. I never needed much to it beyond convenience and the ability to phone people long distance for free.
Blogging and social networking have changed me. Attempting to text with a Razor is annoying for those of us who grew up with the typewriter. I gave in and purchased a phone with a keyboard.
My little red Blackjack II is quickly becoming my best friend. I can use it to update my blogs, update my Twitter, update my Facebook, and even make phone calls. I am finding so many incredible uses for this new toy.
It’s important to keep up with the trends without being sucked in too far. It seems like a fine line between trying to not appear to be getting old and keeping up with the times. When you fail to keep up with the times, your mind stagnates and really, nothing can age you more except for smoking.
So, I’ve become a conformist in an attempt to stay young in the mind. My parents would be proud. Unfortunately, they decided to go the other way and stagnate. Guess I did learn something from them.
