I guess that I cannot complain about the weather, the rain in particular today considering what it going on in Texas. Tropical Storm Edouard stormed into the Texas coast early today bringing driving rains and peak winds near 65 mph. The storm could cause flooding up to 5 inches in coastal regions of Louisiana and up to 10 inches in parts of southeastern Texas. That is a lot of rain.
I just read a study that says that paper money contains high traces of cocaine, regardless of whether or not the paper money came into direct contact with the drug. The U.S. bills take the top spot, covered in the greatest amount of the illegal powder, while Spanish notes are the most highly contaminated in Europe, according to the latest issue of the journal Trends in Analytical Chemistry. I can’t believe how many people fail to wash their hands before they eat and after they’ve touched money. You gotta wonder how many other ‘cooties’ are on the bills. The study sounds like a good deal for the folks at Mastercard and Visa.
Last night there was thunder and lightning strikes around Wrigley Field cutting short the Cubs’ chance to rally for a win . The game featured a 2 hour, 45 minute delay and a tornado warning in nearby downtown Chicago .
For Milwaukee, a storm was Brewing in the team’s own dugout. Brewers slugger Prince Fielder and pitcher Manny Parra got into a shoving match in the dugout during a 6-3 loss to the Reds. Come on guys.
Today I am catching up on some work. I also need to re-fresh a look for client Ryan.
Two more days of summer school!
