Inspiron Mini 9
You are looking at this new, smaller version, of a laptop from the folks at Dell.
I am looking at this as a fun device that I could stick into my handbag and take with me where ever I go.
Let me start off by saying that two years ago I purchased the top of the line Dell laptop computer. It had all of the nice bells and whistles available at the time. I spent a bit more to insure that this computer would see me through graphic design school and my website business. Both school and business require me to use some hefty programs that require a lot of memory and storage.
Then I got everyone else in my household the Dell of their needs to insure that they would keep their hands off of my new toy. Kids like to download and click a lot = virus’s, Trojans, and junk on your hard drive.
Two years later my computer is still functioning well. Thanks to two external drives and the probability of adding some additional memory by the end of the year, I think I’m okay for while.
The problem is, that I cannot take it anywhere because it is hooked up to so many things to make it functional for my needs. A mini computer seems like a good choice.
So, I visited Dell.com to check this thing out.

Ideal Internet Buddy For Surfing, Shopping and Chatting
They almost had me.
Then I started to consider the reality.
I have a $30 a month internet plan on my phone. It’s not the greatest and is certainly hard to justify for $30/month. However, on a couple of occasions, it has paid off.
I checked out the specs on this toy only to find that in order to get it to function at my needs, I would have to make a bunch of upgrades to the point of making it a bit more costly than I need. Seriously, can you own a computer without programs such as Word installed?
This is still a really nice idea for someone who really just wants to surf the internet.
I would suggest looking into a longer battery life option- 4 hours will not get you far.
Also, check out the needed upgrades such as Windows operating system.
