Think about it.
If your child went missing, wouldn’t you do about everything in your power to find him or her?
This is why I am so confused about this Casey Anthony case.
Last June grandma had not seen the child so she asked her daughter Casey where her toddler was. You see, the child had not been seen in a few weeks, even though they were living under the same roof. Mom said that she dropped the child off at a sitters house and doesn’t know what happened to the child. So, grandma makes a frantic 911 call to say that the child had not been seen in nearly a month and that mom’s car stunk.
Mom gets interviewed by the police and tells them who the ‘sitter’ was. Only, when police went to find this sitter they learned that this person didn’t exist. Then mom tells police a series of other non-truths including her place of employment.
To this day, the entire family treats this as a missing child case with the assumption that the child is alive somewhere and they will find her. Only, they has fallen short on calling it a kidnapping. hmmm
This is nuts. How can a mother not know or think about knowing where her child is? This mom was reported to have been out partying with friends and writing bad checks on the bank account of a former friend during the time when her child first went missing.
Caylee Anthony has been missing since June. Her 22-year-old mother, Casey Anthony, was arrested last month and faces first-degree murder and other charges in the girl’s disappearance. It would be hard to prove anything without a body but, have things may have changed.
The media claims that Casey Anthony was going to nightclubs, entering “hot-body” contests and incessantly sending text messages to her friends while her daughter was missing This is according to cell phone and text transcripts and investigative reports released by police. Mom referred to Caylee as “the little snot head”.
Cadaver dogs picked up the scent of death in the trunk of a car Anthony drove and in her parents’ backyard. A neighbor told police Anthony had asked to borrow a shovel.
An analysis of Anthony’s computer found that she had visited Web sites discussing chloroform and had done Internet searches on missing children. Police also found traces of chloroform in the trunk of her car.
Why does it seem as if this family thinks differently than the rest of us?
Well, now CNN says that investigators “absolutely“ found something of interest while searching the home of missing child Caylee Anthony’s grandparents.
After months of near proof and non-compliance, police have finally stumbled upon a possible substantial clue to the case. Remains, which police have described as being those of a small child were found Thursday morning near the home of grandparents George and Cindy Anthony. The police took no time to search the the grandparents home.
Police are reluctant to disclose details of the discovery, other than to say the skeletal remains found in a plastic bag appeared consistent with those of a young child.
“Bottom line, it’s real simple, folks,” “We’ve recovered this human skull, it appears to be that of a small child, and now the investigation continues. We’ve got a lot of lab work to do, a lot of DNA work to do, a lot of crime scene work to do. We could be here all night.”
Prosecutors have asked police not to disclose many details surrounding the discovery. However, the remains were found just around the corner from the grandparents house. At the time it was first searched, the area was swamped and filled with snakes. The water has now receded which makes it easier to search. However, no clothes were found with the remains.
An attorney for Casey Anthony filed legal papers seeking a court order to preserve all evidence collected, and to permit the defense to conduct its own forensic testing. Does this mean that they are accepting some kind of responsibility?
Mom remains in protective custody. Casey Anthony, if convicted of murder, she could be sentenced to life in prison.
Grandparents in denial?
She added, “They told us they thought it was an accident, and she’s scared and tried to cover it up. They don’t feel there’s a motive.”
Cindy Anthony stressed that five searches for the girl’s body have “come up with nothing. There’s nothing that they have found that, you know, has given them any evidence that Caylee is no longer with us.”
The Anthonys said they believe that the girl is still alive and that someone has her.
Have we been played by these people?
Let me put it this way.
If you dropped your child off at a sitters house, wouldn’t you go back to pick the child up?
And, if the child wasn’t there, wouldn’t you call the police?
And, if your child were missing, would you be out partying?
Here’s to looking at a resolution in this bizarre case.
