I must say, we all saw this coming but, wow, this fast?
Yesterday I posted about the current and potential debt incurred by this mother of 14.
No, the single mother of 14 children, has set up a Web site asking for donations.
The Web site features pictures of a rainbow, child’s blocks and all eight of Suleman’s newborns.
The Octuplets are shown in their own little picture with their birth number, sex and weight.
Also, very obviously (as in a huge baby bottle pointing at it) displayed on the site is a ‘click here to make a donation’. The “proud mother of 14” accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
This one paged site isn’t the most advanced but, it does serve it’s intended purpose.
The question is, is the idea crossing the line?
Yes, we all fear for the children and want what is best for them but,
do we need to plaster their images on a website asking for donations?
It will be interesting to witness the reprocations of this.
Personally, I think it’s a bit too early or fast to drop this on a public who is still dealing with the situation as a whole.
What do you think?
“I’m providing myself to my children,” Nadya Suleman told NBC in her first interview. “I’m loving them unconditionally, accepting them unconditionally, everything I do. I’ll stop my life for them and be present with them and hold them and be with them. And how many parents do that?”
