No flippin’ way.
Octuplet mom says that she is done having kids.
The mother of 14 children has no job, no income and owes $50,000 in student loans. She says she is going to return to school for a masters degree so that she can get a job and support her kids.
Wake up sweetie.
Going back to school means a) someone(s) has to watch your 14 kids, b) you have to pay for them to do it and c) going back to school means more bill and a couple of years out of your life to do it. I’m sure there are people thinking that the kids and their welfare are a bigger priority at the moment.
The LA times says that mom faces probably millions of dollars in medical bills alone.
According to the times, the family of 15 is eligible for large sums of public assistance money. Before she gave birth to the octuplets she had been receiving $490 in monthly food stamps, and three of her children were receiving federal supplemental security income because they are disabled.
A spokesman for the San Francisco office of the Social Security Administration, was wuoted by the Times saying that “a single parent with no income qualifies for up to $793 a month for each child with a physical or mental condition that results in “marked or severe functional limitations.”
Her bills so far?
The octuplets have already racked up a minimum of $153,344 in Medi-Cal costs, not including their delivery. Doctors have said they will remain hospitalized for seven to 12 weeks. If they stay for seven weeks, the cost would be $469,616. If they stay 12 weeks, the cost would be $805,056. She thinks she’s going to go back to school for a masters to pay these bills? Wake up!
