In case you missed it, or are just sick or hearing about it, the Octuplet mom appeared on the Dr. Phil show yesterday in the first of two interviews (which you can purchase from DR. Phil.com for 29.95….).
Octomom says that she has some concerns about her babies coming home. Well, duh. And when they do come home, how will you care for them- is what we are all wondering (did you see Cher and Rosie talking about it?).
To the rescue… “Angels in Waiting”.
“The clock is ticking, and we need to convey to her the magnitude the needs of these premature infants,” said attorney Gloria Allred. “Nadya does not appear to have a concrete plan for the future to meet the urgent and complicated needs of these medically fragile and premature infants,” said Allred.
Famed Cal. attorney Gloria Allred, runs a group called Angels In Waiting Allred says she’s taken it upon herself to file a complaint with the Department of Children and Family Services to investigate whether the children might be endangered staying with their mother. I’m thinking they probably know about the situation.
Allred and her Angels in Waiting estimates that child care for the babies can would cost $130,000 a month for this mom in debt living on food stamps.
” Angels in Waiting, a wonderful organization with a registered nurse, with prenatal care, neonatal intensive care for medically-fragile infants, had contacted Nadya, or tried to … to say that this is what they do: They provide for the care of high-risk, premature, medically-fragile infants, and they would be willing to provide 24/7 care to these babies when they come out of the hospital. In fact, to the siblings, as well, with nurses and educational development specialists. And so, when Nadya didn’t respond to this offer, which is so important to these babies’ development, then we had a news conference and made that offer public to Nadya.”
So far Octomom has not responded to this offer. She seems to have taken the “Dr. Phil” route.
Amazing how things come out of the woodwork when stories like this come out of the woodwork.
