…………………………..
5/9 – 6 ways you are like or unlike your mother
1. I never thought that I was like my mother until one day when I was in the backyard yelling at my kids and I realized that my hands were on my hips…just like when my mother use to yell at us.
2. Both my mother and myself are great fans of peanuts.
3. Both y mother and myself never turn down ice cream.
4. I am closer with my kids than my mother ever was.
5. My mother, like her generation, lived to serve their spouse. Thank goodness my generation discoverd that women have brains as well as bods.
6. My mother never owned blue jeans, sweat pants or yoga pants. These are my staples

1. How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years?
Can’t count. Now that we have the internet, facebook etc. it’s a lot easier to keep friends a long time.
2. Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now?
Husband, people I’ve bonded with over many instances.
3. It’s Friday evening and you’re planning your weekend. What’s on your agenda?
Flippin’ work, housework, laundry …
4. What was the most recent movie to scare you or give you the creeps?
Don’t really see these kind of movies.
5. Finally, the new cast and movie of Star Trek are out. Excited or indifferent?
This is like the third, I think, remake in my life. I’m pretty indifferent.
6. Do you have any nervous habits?
Grinding my teeth.
7. Do you swear in general?
Hell no.
8. Do you swear on your blog?
Heck no

When it’s flagrant, used too much or on a site with little kids/babies all over it I can get creeped out.

Love your lists! I’m also glad I grew up in a generation where I was taught I didn’t have to serve and obey my husband! I thank my mom for that!
LOL you’re cracking me up! Your number 1 on ST6…It’s really rather frightening when you open your mouth to say something {or yell something} to your kids aand you hear your mother speaking! ROTF
7-9 LOL
3 so true
5 Yeah how many Star Trek Movies are they going to make? Better yet, when is Hollywood going to come up with something ORIGINAL?
BTW, I just love how your sun moves on yur header. That is so cool. Where did you get it made?
Thanks for stopping by my humble corner of the intertubes. Your blog is amazing! I’ve been mulling starting my own domain (I have one on reserve @godaddy). Winning your makeover contest would be the push I need to make it happen.

I’m sure your husband is happy that you are planning to keep him around! Happy Saturday…
I can’t imagine living without yoga pants and jeans. They are my wardrobe staples too.
Yup, my mom is totally like number 5–she still serves my dad dinner and then picks up his dish to wash
LOL,I have had a few of those “OMG I sound just like my mother” moments too!
Good lists.Hope you’re right about friendships lasting longer with the internet. Agree with you about the cursing on blogs. Have a great Mother’s Day.
