Okay…so instead of the August Comment Challenge, I’m going to do something different. It involves other blogs and bloggers.
Here is the scoop.
1. Every day during the month of August, I will feature a blog in apost on my site.
2. Participants and readers will be directed to the featured blog to leave comments.
3. You don’t have to be featured to participate but, if you are featured you should probably comment the other sites. It would be nice.
Wow! What a great way to get people to see your site and to make new bloggy buddies!
I need volunteers to have their blog site featured.
The ‘qualifications’ for these volunteers should be that they are bloggers who are pretty regular around here either through memes, a comment challenge or just because I’m cute.
If you are interested, please sign on here- but first, please note that signing on gives me permission to visit your site and snag information- general stuff like your blog button and ‘about me’ info. Leave a link to your site as well as your name.
This is going to be so much fun- I promise! If you want to leave a comment as well, feel free!
I’m hoping to get some kind of a prize involved- any ideas?

Great Idea! I think it's always a wonderful thing to help other bloggers and ourselves at the same time.
As for a prize idea, maybe just the influx of new visitors to the blogs is enough of a gift
Beyond that I have no idears.

I couldn't do the comment challenges with y'all but I do stop by all the time with entrecard etc… I will visit the sites you feature whenever I can.
I don't expect to be featured but I am going to put my link up if that's okay so you can visit me and say hi and hopefully find something fun or useful on my blog.

Oh yes I am over the 1000 comment for this month. Stopped counting after 1111. Thought that was cute.

Ha! Too funny! I put a note on my calender for the 1st to FIANALLY get involved with the 1000 comment challenge this month. So far I've been just too chicken to participate I guess but I do comment my butt off either way even I don't count each one. So I guess I'll wait for next time to start counting. This, however, sounds like just as much fun, and a great way to really get to know some other sites and bloggers instead of just flying around leaving comments. Gives us all a real chance to read it AND absorb what the other sites have to say! GREAT IDEA! I'd love to participate any way I can!

This is a great idea
I suck at the comment challenge. I leave comments but forget to keep track. Start counting FB comments as comments by accident, lol, so this is a welcome change. Great idea and I look forward to visitng the featured sites.
How do you even keep track? You mean you have to like make hash marks on a paper or does it track it for you somehow? lol.

what a great idea harriet!!! I tried the july comment challenge, but I must admit that being w/o the internet for a week during our move really threw me off! I like this idea for August : )

I hate to sound stupid but I haven't done any of your challenges or anything. Is everyone supposed to put your button up or only the ones that you are featuring? I'd like to support this but don't want to put a button up saying I was featured if I won't be if that makes sense.
