So, in case you have not noticed, and I am sure that you have…I do memes on a daily basis. Meme’s give you something to write about and a reason to visit other blogs and make nice-nice.
There is a certain meme on a certain day of the week (not this one) that I do. The meme gets a lot of hits. I attempt to comment everyone who signs-up before 1pm. However, the return comments in numbers in no way reflect my number of blog visits.
Yes, there are some slackers that, for whatever reason, either do not reciprocate or do not comment or just don’t like me (think it’s the dogs?). I can understand that many of us have other things to do, have a life, or whatever, but, on a weekly basis? (How about, don’t sign up if you aren’t gonna participate?)
OKAY…so my question(s) for you is a) Does this happen to you too? and
b) Do you know of any good memes that I should try?
The Dating Profiles Meme: Going With the Flow
1. I am an easy going person who just goes with the flow. I would like someone who can also go with flow. Shouldn’t we all just go with the flow?
Not into decision-making? Says a lot about your relationship with mom.
2. It would be nice to go home with someone and talk about the day over a glass of pepsi.

3. I enjoy long walks on the beach.

LOL I love the number 10 to 1 comparison. LOL Great thinking my friend. To answer your question I barely follow the Mr. Linky for the exact reason you have stated. I go an leave comments and then don’t get anything in return. So Bite Me is the way I look at it LOL My regulars respond and if I get a comment from one of the meme’s that I didn’t comment on from the Link I ALWAYS comment back on theirs.

If I visit a site, I try to comment, but sometimes I feel like I don’t have anything worthy to say, know what I mean? And yes, that happens to me – # of visitors doesn’t match # of comments. Oh well. Happy Friday!

I try to respond to most who take the time to comment on my own blog. But, of course, sometimes it’s just not possible. I always feel really bad when I don’t respond to someone.
It doesn’t bother me if each and every one of my comments is not met with a reply of some kind. What bothers me is this – there are a couple blogs that I have regularly visited/read for months or even years. I have commented many times throughout those months/years and have not once, ever received a response.

I had a meme I tried to start with a friend on Mondays and it was a total flop. I barely had anyone link up after 5 weeks so we gave up. I don’t get it either….I comment on lots of blogs and try to visit people who visit my site. Kinda feels like high school again, huh?

I two love memes, it is a way I find blogs I may not have found otherwise. It can get discouraging to visit 60 blogs and have 10 comments. I try to visit every blog in a meme, sometimes it is impossible, however, I do comment on everyone’s meme who comments on mine.

It’s fun and a nice way to boost your ego by having completely random people read your blog and comment about how funny/smart/witty/great at winning things you are.
As for your lack of comments, my guess is it could be the schnauzer, I’m personally not a big fan of that breed, but I have nothing against the idea of a pit bull/boxer/lab mix. Sounds cute.

I’m new at memes, so I try to visit as many sites as I can and comment on them. I do comment on the ones where I have something to say other than, “Hey I’m visiting.” That and I don’t have all day to comment. I only do memes on MWF. Then for each day I can only take about an hour to spend on commenting/visiting other people’s blogs.

Happy Friday! Yeah I have the same feelings about comments/memes I really enjoy most of them, but I’m thinking of giving up on one. I admit I’m guilty of not always commenting and I usually have an excuse, so I try to think of what excuses other people might have. But you’re right…every week? However I’ve made a handfull of good bloggy friends out of the bunch so I have no regrets there.

Now, it’s not just you. I think it’s rude to visit a blog just for the meme and not leave a comment on the host’s page. It’s like knocking on the door and running off.
But I’ve also noticed the opposite. Some bloggers will host memes and not visit the links of the bloggers who participate. I think that’s just as a rude. If you want to host a meme, then play along! *stepping down from my soapbox now*
When people visit my blog and leave a comment, I try to visit theirs and leave comment. It may be a few days later, but I try. I gotta spread the comment love!

as for the comment vs. no comment…
there are SEVERAL blogs that I try and show comment love to that have NEVER, EVER, EVER returned the support… one of them has commented maybe 2 times on my blog and I always show love, I recently quit following them because it kinda irked me… and the others that do not comment back, I just avoid supporting them now! LOL
