BTW – you are way more patient then me – I can barely last 15min past by appt. time before I am bugging the receptionist again!

I really, Really, REALLY hate how long I spend in doctor's waiting room. It's a huge deal if I'm late but evidently it is perfectly acceptable for me to wait over 30 minutes on a regular basis. The worst case was when I was awaiting OB ultrasound. I was filled with water in pain and I had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours!!! I think at the 20 minute mark of waiting, I’m starting to get peeved. I’ve waited 1.5 hours before. Why I waited…I still don’t know. Oh yeah, I was undressed and in a paper gown. Sweet.

Doctors offices suck. German doctors don’t make you wait like American doctors do. I LOVE that about them. We’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes (usually less than 5!) for an appt with the German docs. I don’t know how they do it because they don’t rush appts or make you feel like they’re speeding through things. Maybe they just don’t book them back to back like they do in America. I don’t know, but I like it.

I love trivia! Random trivia is my favorite. The one about the horses and statues is wrong. This is an urban myth. The statue of Jackson in New Orleans has one leg in the air, meaning he died of wounds received in battle, but he died of natural causes years after the war.

Also GOLF is another urban myth. The word golf may be a Scots alteration of Dutch “kolf” meaning “stick, “club” and “bat.”

I don’t mean to poopoo your trivia (cause I do love it), just want to clarify those two. Happy RTT!

OMG you waited for almost an hour! How was the mamo? I have never had one because I heard it hurt so I am just hoping that the phrase, “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” will prove to be true…

The whole mammogram thing does not sound fun. Luckily, our place is not like that. They get you right in. Sorry!

Sorry about your long, yucky wait. I spent 4 hours in the waiting room with little o back in December. You’d think they’d have more comfortable waiting rooms, for the amount of time they leave people there, right?

That’s one of the reasons I’m hesitant to go to the doctor even if I really need to – the terminal wait. Especially when they tell you to show up 15 minutes early – then don’t call you in until almost an hour past your appointment time. Not cool.

Loved all those trivia facts! Some I had wondered about, now thanks to you I know!
