I used to be a huge baseball fan. My uncle used to give me a lot of his season’s tickets to the Mets games. Then there was the strike and I started doing other things than obsessing about baseball. I still follow how the mets are doing but you really cant call me a fan, I don’t remember the last time I watched an entire game.

I don’t think I’ve heard of any of these players. As for the low TV ratings…maybe more people would care if you could actually watch a game without subscribing to cable. Used to be you could catch a game on almost any of the big three (now four) networks, especially on weekends, but now the only sports aired on summer weekends are golf and auto-racing, neither of which I consider “real” sports.
