I love animals have 5 dogs and it’s hard to think of all the pets people have to give up . it would hurt me.have a good weekend

i don’t have any pets, but this really breaks my heart!!! i would hate to have to make that kind of a decision.

So sad about the animals. I’ve been looking into adopting a rescue dog and now this story gives me an even bigger motivation to do so rather than go to a breeder.

I’ve had to surrender three animals in the past. It killed me to do so, and I refuse to ever do it again if I can help it. As you know, my cats & dog are my babies. I’d love to take in more animals, but my budget just doesn’t allow for that right now. Nor does it allow me to donate nearly as often as I wish I could.

Yeah, I’ve noticed several repeat questions lately. I guess that’s the price on pays for being hooked on memes. Have a great weekend!

Poor babes,its so heartbreaking to know its not a no kill shelter. I do donate when I can but we have to have a different system for these animals. I wish I could hug and love them all

Your hell sounds like quite a party, with a lot of laughs. I’m not sure that’s what the Good Book intended. (Though countless references to Jill Hennessey and The Twins for all eternity may indeed be hell.)

Ok! I admit it! I use a cart when I shop at WalMart! What of it? And, while you can’t see it in that photo, I think those seafoam shorts set off my eyes nicely.

On a much, much more serious note, I’m a supporter of both the LA/SPCA and American Humane and am confident that every dollar contributed will be put to good use. We can’t forget that many of theses families still weren’t back on their feet again after Katrina when the BP spill hit, and when households become this desperate, they may have to part with even the most beloved furry family member. A cat or especially a dog that’s over 5 years old is not likely to get adopted by another family, and the LA/SPCA may have to make some heartbreaking decisions about euthanasia when they fill up. So the BP tragedy really has put the dogs and cats of Gulf in danger, just like the pelicans and turtles. So thank you for spreading the word (she said, sliding her soap box back under the sink).
