Fabulous tribute to your Dad and I LOVE the wedding photo of your parents ~ it’s priceless!! My parents are 86 and almost 85. My Mom has started the slow painful journey of Memory loss – they live far away, but I get to see them 5 or 6 times a year!! My Dad is amazing – he still does Meals on Wheels with Mom, he still has an office he goes too and he still flies his own plane – passes all his exams twice a year??!!

This made me tear up a bit! It reminds me SO much of my grandfather who passed in November of 2002, following my grandmother’s passing in October of 2001. They had been married for 57 years. He was a WWII vet who was stationed in the Phillipines after Pear Harbor. And he was the greatest man I have ever known. I have no doubts you feel the same about your father. What a sweet tribute to him. Thanks for sharing with us!

So sorry to read about both of their passing, so close together. I think it is great that you remember all the things your father did while here on Earth. He sounds like a great man to have known. His memories will last forever.

Having celebrated my own Dad’s life seven and a half months ago, I am particularly moved by this poignant post. You must miss them both terribly, but how comforting that they are together. Your Dad sounds like a father to be very proud of.

enjoyed reading this post. my parents were part of WWII. mom, immigrant. your father was also a tough old bird. i can tell you take pride in your father. he sounds like a great man. i would like him. long mariage. thanks for sharing this part of your life.peace be with you. Rose
