Hey, I’ve been with AT&T for around 5 years and I’ve been pretty satisfied.
I’ve had two other carriers- one I liked (Sprint) and one that I didn’t like (starts with a V).
Consumer Reports says I’m basically wrong.
In a recent satisfaction survey with their readers, US Cellular scored #1 with an 82.
The Big “V” scored in second place with a 74, followed by Sprint (73), T-mobile (69) and A T&T (60).
CR says that AT&T received the worst possible rating in eight of the nine categories- including overall value, voice service, data service, phone support, staff knowledge, and resolution of issues, among others. More than half of the AT&T (T, Fortune 500) customers surveyed own an iPhone, and the survey found that iPhone owners were “much less satisfied” with AT&T than other smartphone owners were with their carrier. IPhone owners were particularly dissatisfied with AT&T’s data service. Fortune and other news outlets have reported that AT&T is about to lose its exclusive hold on the iPhone at the end of the year, and that Verizon will start selling the iPhone beginning in early 2011.
Hey Tumblr users- Tumblr is still out?
Tumbler, the blogging platform for the new young hip generation, has been displaying this one their website for nearly 2 days.
Nobody is saying anything about the reason but, to me, the reminds me of a Godaddy situation or 4 that I have had over the past year.
Cute of the day….
We had over 8 inches of snow over the weekend and my dogs have been having a fun time jumping around in it.
Personally I hate AT&T but that’s because we purchased AT&T and then couldn’t get service at our house- our phones NEVER worked at home- they would work if we would go out to the store or something but never at our house so we took them back a few weeks after signing up and switched to Verizon where we’ve had absolutely no problems.
Wow, you actually like them? I hated them especially with all the buying and selling of the company which kept screwing with my plan. When they were Cingular i had an AT&T contract, when something happened to my phone they tried to force me into a Cingular contract, that was worse than my original contract. I sis not think it was fair and the people told me that I would have to buy a phone from ebay because they would not help me if I didn’t get a new contract. Sorry AT&T sucks.

I have to admit I had to switch from AT&T when we moved into our house almost 8 years ago – we couldn’t get a signal here, and even now there’s no signal (much to the frustration of friends who visit us that have AT&T for their cell service). 🙂
8 inches of snow? Can Princess Nagger come play with your dogs in the snow? 😉
I’m starting to think that all suck in their own way…
I LOVE my AT&T. I’ve traveled all over the country, and AT&T is the ONLY carrier where I’ve had a consistent signal. I pay more than I feel I should, but considering the reliability I’ve experienced, it’s worth it.
I’ve had AT&T for over five years and have been pretty satisfied. I rarely get dropped calls, and the few times I had to call customer service my problem was resolved in less than five minutes.
I think that which carrier is the best depends on your region. A carrier may have excellent service in one area and terrible service in another. Being the “worst carrier” just means that on average they score lower than the rest.
I think carrier and satisfaction all depends on service in your area. I live a huge metro area. I would love to have an Iphone and would gladly pay for it. My iphone friends pay $100s a month for a phone they can’t talk on and is a virtual paper weight most of the time. I’m a very satisfied with Verizon. I can use my phone anywhere.
I’m pretty content with AT&T overall. The only time I’ve run into issues are when I’m at an event that is overrun with cell phones in close proximity (music/film festivals) but otherwise I’m a satisfied customer. They could lower their rates a bit though. 😉
Could depend where you live and what you want out of your carrier. Me I hate the contracts and dead zones – I live near the Rocky mountains and go up in the mountains and some carriers definitely work better than others.
I have at&t. Personally I think its the phone and not the carrier. Ive had good phones and got excellent service and then Ive had phones like the one I have now (Pantech) and I hate it but of course im stuck with it another 2 years. So, I think its all about the type of phone someone has.
I have AT & T and have for years as well– not many complaints, except that I can’t use my phone at my parents’ place…but then again, that’s not AT&T’s fault they live in the middle of a field haha!!!
