To make a long story short, I’m paying $70 a month for cable and the cable company thinks it’s okay for them to interrupt the channels I am paying extra to get so that they can show paid advertisements they call “Spotlight” every 25 minutes.
“Spotlight” around these parts consists of 5 minutes with a political candidate I could care less about or some woman who is chronologically gifted and wearing an ill-fitting wig telling me how to live longer (probably because she knows this is killing me).
In case you did not get this, Comcast is preempting TV shows to show Spotlight, every 25 minutes.
What are the preempting?
The Anthony Trial for one.
CNN got the rights to televise the trial and now Comcast is making extra money off it. Does this sound right to you?
My dear blogger friend Annette stopped by to say that she once wrote a post blasting Comcast and someone from Comcast left a comment asking her to contact him for a better deal. Wouldn’t you know it…two comments later the same thing happened to me. I’m thinking that this may be some automated thing since I was not moaning about the package itself, just the nerve of this Spotlight crap.
I can reach out to my contacts to see if we can offer a better package with the best possible pricing for you. You can contact me if you are interested in my assistance.
For those of you who might need assistance, please feel free to contact me as well. Please include your account infos and a link to this page on your reply.
Thanks for the opportunity to help!
Mike, if you really do exist, I apologize for calling you automated.
I’m okay with the package at this time.
I am just seriously frustrated with this Spotlight stuff.
Comcast thinks it’s okay to over-ride programming for paid advertisements. I’m paying extra for this programming. In light of the Anthony trial, I believe this is especially in poor taste. A little girl tragically died and a family is being torn apart. This is NOT the time to be selling extra advertising!
Can we do something about this???
