We have tow large water bowls around here that are always needed refills.
The problem is that there is always fur swimming around or contents brought in from roughhousing outside or via a certain bearded pack member.
I know that they are dogs and dogs are happy enough with melting snow that is in a puddle on the side of the road. But, if they are going to come around my face with those cooties, they had better be a bit cleaner than road gunk.
Hallelujah for clean water bowls
The idea is this.

CleanFlow Water Bowls for Pets
Without a splash or gurgle, these specialized bowls remove most impurities from pets’ drinking water via a charcoal filter. The filtering process occurs up to 130 times an hour to keep leak-proof basins filled with fresh water. To clean, coat bowls in bacon grease for a canine-given bath or send them through dishwashers.
